Who eats this much?

This is a meal plan given to my friend who is about to do a cycle, he is close to same stats as me... mid 20's 5'8" 180ish lbs 14-15%BF Anyone have an idea how many calories this would be? Is this strictly a bulk diet or could you see abs with this diet, hard training and gear.

Meal 1
8 eggs 2 yolks
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup fruit

Meal 2 (2 1/2 hrs later)
2 scoops Whey
1 ounch nuts
1 cup oatmeal

Meal 3 (3-4 hrs later)
8 oz chicken/turkey/salmon
1 cup white rice or baked potato
1 cup veggies or salad with 1tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp ketchup

Meal 4 (3 hours later) (Pre Workout)
8oz chicken
1 cup oatmeal
2TBS Natty Peanut Butter

Meal 5 (Post Workout
2 Scoops Whey
1 cup Oatmeal
1 cup Natural Grape Juice

Meal 6 (1 hour later)
8oz London Broil or Sirloin Steak
1 cup oatmeal or sweet potato
1 cup veggies or salad

Meal 7 (3 hours later)
2 scoops Whey
1 ounch nuts
1 cup oatmeal

Meal 8 (1 hour before bed)
8 eggs 2 yolk
1 cup oatmeal
1 zma pill
 
In my opinion it's way to heavy on the oatmeal and I would get rid of meal 8.

I would cut back the oatmal to 2 cups a day and boost the nuts to about 8 oz a day. Also add in more fruit on the early meals - make sure it's not always salad instead of veggies.

It is quite clean though - abs shouldn't be a problem.

What are you a SUMO - 8000 cals - holy shit. I'm guessing if he added more nuts / seeds and fruit to the above it would hit near 5000 cals. How could you do 8000 man that's like Mr Olympia levels.

Thanks for the input...I would rather eat brown rice than that much oatmeal I heard it makes you soft

Why would oats make you soft???? Just curious, oats is 80% of my carbs; i am currently eating 500g of oats/day (250g Oat bran, 250g normal flakes). I eat them cause I love them

No the oats are ok, i HEARD that brown rice makes your muscles soft

Maybe you heard that about WHITE rice but brown rice is the staple(carb wise) of ALOT of precontest diets, trust me bro, brown rice is one of if not the BEST carb choices. :Chef:
 
white rice, brown rice, doesnt matter that much, check out the macros on it. Shit, I eat white rice all the way up to showtime. And your diet is very good man!! Try adding some carbo hits w/ your protien powder instead of fruit, powdered complex carbs, Carbo Hits is great for bulking.

MY best gains have came on big diets like this,,,at leasy 4500 cals per day

Yeah my clean 4020 cal ,390protein ,415 carb ,90 fat,takes all my effort at the moment .

Personlly I like this diet, its somthing Id do.
Id cut off the last 2 Oats servings and repalce them with maybe rice, but lave meal 8 carbless.
Also In meal 3 I think it is where there is a 3-4 hours meal break. Id put somthing in there so its only 2 hours. Try eating every 2 hours.

As for the guy that said he eats 8000cals a day - You must go McDonalds and devour there deep fryer everyday.

Or you could just do what Oprah Winfew was doing.
He was getting 10,000 cals a day.
A nice 4 Hotsdogs for Breakfast, what a good start to the day!
 
thanks for the input....im gonna substitute some things like rice for oatmeal because its more convenient and probably do 6 meals instead of 8....also not do so many carbs before bed.. basically i can do breakfast...a meal...lunch... a meal (pre workout) then shake with dextrose...1 hour later dinner...a couple hours later some eggs or high protein thats doable for me
 
dude......do some work......go to www.calorieking.com and look up the foods and calcualte...no one here wants to nor has the time to do your dirty work......plus esitmates a=never ever work......some think they eat 2000 cals and really take in 3x times that and vice versa

A. Dont be a prick B. PLENTY of people gave me the advice I was looking for and a ROUGH estimate also what I was looking for.

That is a great e-book. I follow it's advice like Dr. Phil follows Oprah.

It's a bit slow at the start while it explains the psychology of "the lifestyle" not " the diet" but it has worked wonders for me.

I recommend it for anyone who is trying to be healthy.
 
I'd eat the 16 eggs with the yolks and replace some of the oats with fruits or veggies.

Just my opinion bro.

...and anyone who thinks eggs yolks are bad for your cholesterol don't even start... I've eaten between 12 and 18 eggs every day for the past year and my cholesterol is lower than average.
 
Thats almost my exact diet but with more vegies and a couple less eggs, plus meal 8 is just a ceason drink with milk and a multi in the am.
