Who believes in you? Who doubts you?

Amazing accomplishments B fold, be true to yourself and everything else will follow. If you will it it will be.

Don't linger on how no one thought you could do this or that. YOu pysologically pysching yourself out.

The most important person to impress is the person looking back at you from the mirror.

Most people seem to believe in me, and I tend to not believe in myself. I master what I take on, but I take on less than I can.

Thaibox said it. You have this whole site as your family that has always supported and believed in you, and always will.:)

"NASM 2001: Wasn't given a chance to even place. One of my fellow copetitors even posted that they were not even slightly worried about anyone in the 300's...they planned on walking away with that class. They went home after the 2nd event. "
I remember a 'gorilla' that talked alot of crap. But what happened to him????Is he a top,or well known amateur anymore-no.Did he become a pro at Boston-no.I heard he was supposed to make a big comeback, but even that seems like it isnt going to happen.Youve definitely taken the hard road to get where you are now,and its definitely paying off.
As for people not believing in you,or not giving you the recognition that we all know you deserve....SCREW EM!The people that believe in you,and are supporting you in any way,are the people that really matter.Everytime you train hard,or enter a contest you are proving those that doubt you wrong!!

I like your name. My favorite band.

I constantly get told I am "too big" whenever I see my family, my mother always says how others she know who go to gyms aren't big at all, I usually reply "Well if they lift those 2lb pink dumbbells what do you expect" and I make some remarks how they should quit going to the gym. I am pretty deffensive about it all and at the size I am which isn't big at all I don't like being called "too big" I do admitt it does feel as though I am being put down a lot.

Both my brothers weigh about 140lbs and that is what is deemed as normal in my family as my dad when he was alive was probably only about 150lbs, so they are really quite narrow viewed with what they believe is "the best size" for someone to be.

I'm always hassled about how I should take up running and cycling instead of weight lifting, it's quite annoying. Sure I will never enter any competitions but my own goals are constantly being mocked and put down.

I see it this way.

There will always be those that doubt you. I will have moments where I doubt myself.

It's how you deal with those doubts that'll set you apart - or make you cave. :)

I tell my friends that I'm stronger than i really am. Eventually push will come to shove and by then i make sure i can do the aforementioned weight.
Its great as my "lies" makes me wanna push myself harder. They say shit like "No way you can deadlift that much you lying gimp" And i always say "well see"
So i hit the gym and start deadlifting like a crazy mofo until my goal is reached.

I love shuting my friends up.

I do find the classic "arguing" effect motivational (Called it arguing effect not sure what real name is, it's when someone disagrees with you and it only makes your resolve stronger and the more you argue the more your resolve strengthens). Everytime I get putdown or critisised about my goals my effort in the gym and out of it (eating and resting) increases.

Anger and spite along with a little hate are my friends when I am lifting, outside of the gym my friends are other people who work out and their experiences they post.
