update for me: recently pulled 385lbs @ 175. Good or just average? I'm not really a heavy lifter or bodybuilder, mainly training for strength gains. Any experienced DLer's got advice about reps and weight I should be doing. I pull heavy once a week and on this day I do some upperbody lifts: bench, push press, decline etc. Should I go for higher max on dl or should I pull 225 for 20-25 reps. what is better for power and athletic performance.

my best is 776.25 lbs currently.(prob get over 800 if spent few weeks tapering and on gear) and do that many times in my training. off gear too. not training particulary for it either. body weught 19st 7lbs

cheers r

501lb's is my best pull , may be a while befor i do that again though as im trying to drop bodyweight to compete @ 90kg's :)

475lbs @ 185....tried 500lbs and grip gave out. I have over 500lbs in me, but my damn grip sucks and I refuse to use straps. My gym also banned chalk. I might be at 475lbs for awhile ha.
