i cant afford any good lawyer..i have to use the DA..and my parents wont help me pay for any lawyer..so the DA is the best I can do....i was hoping i could make a deal with the DA that if i joined the marines they would just put me on probabation or something..since i was planning on joining the marines anyway.......the only thing going my way so far is that it doesnt look like the federal govt is going to prosecute me..its just going to be state..at least for now

Even if that were an option I don't think the Marines would take you. They did miss their recruiting goal but I don't think they are desperate enough to start accepting drug dealers and felons just yet.

I don't know what your motives are, but you don't seem to know a whole lot about the details of a case that, if true, will have permanent damaging impact on the rest of your life.

This from someone who is a member of a forum primarily dediced to discussing illicit drug use? It's not OK unless it's your drug of choice, right? Our drug policies are bent. All you know about this case is that he had a lot of drugs and may have been distributing them. You may not like the undergroud drug market but it's only a biproduct of prohibition. If the US would be more honest (and maybe less greedy) about drugs (includes alcohol and tabbacco) there wouldn't be such a lucrative black market and such a stigma attached with drug use.

True. But then they can sit in the back of the car until a canine comes and sniffs the entire vehicle. Then they can rip it apart as much as they want. Either way -- they'll get to it.

Do what my chulo 18th street gangbanger does (u didn't hear it here). Got a little trap door underneath his legs. coke, etc. is in a little pouch. If he gets pulled over -- press a little button and all of it falls to the ground underneath the car. Real smooth. Cops can search forever, unless they're real real keen and lok underneath the car.
