i think it depends on what type of muscle fibers are more predominant in you.
fast twitch fibers are for explosiveness and slow twitch are more for endurance.
are you naturally strong or fast? for with lower reps
if yuo are more inclined to endurance, try higher reps.
you can always go with the failsafe, 6-8 reps.
