What the hell are you thinking????

Hey everyone! This is my first post. I have been reading for awhile and this site is very interesting, lots of good stuff! I just wanted to say that Dr.X is right in many ways. There are many guys who get into AAS and still get shit results because they don't know what they are doing. So, what is the deal with that? Dr. X isn't trying to mess with educated users who cover all the bases. Like X said, and I am in the same boat, he will probably use some AAS at some point. As far as the comments on pics go, there is a fine line. Encouragement is one thing, but why not tell it like it is for the most part?

Nice physique, but you're too damn small. You're no Lee Priest, that's for sure. Don't criticize the people who aren't natural. We don't criticize you because you ARE natural. But you do look great for being natural. And if you're natural, what the hell are you doing on this board? Did you come here just to start shit?

Great body mr x. If you had posted them in the pics section without the thoughts you expressed here , you would have had very good feedback. Nothing wrong with the quads according to me.

My english is bad so I will borrow words from some one. He said that he agrees with you to a certain extent.

I think many young people here rely too much on steroids and think about using them too early. One should have trained at least for 5 years before going the steroid way. But anyway I think 5 years of dedicated weight lifting are enough to build a decent body (it's my opinion).

Bump for Fonz's reply- one of the few mature responses here. I am an amateur BB'er- I do it for the love of it and not for money, attention blah blah blah. I have a ton more respect for your average guy grinding it out in the weight room everyday after work than some guy looking around to see who's watching him throw around 405 on bench cause he's geared up. In my gym, I try to stay away from the "ego-builders" who are using bb'ing to fill in some flaw in their own life or personality. The guys who do it because they love it are the one's who will be still pumping out reps at 70 years old while those other guys look for the next fad to help them ignore their real problems.

In regards to the original post, I agree with some of dr. x's opinions but the way he chose to express himself didn't do anyone any good to begin a constructive conversation about it.

I agree w/ Dr. X. I had a post awhile back asking if everybody even worked out...LOL

I agree. Far too many people are passing themselves off as "experts" who probably:

Have worked out not much at all.

Have probably never done an AS cycle.

Have probably never even SEEN any AS first-hand.

I do think that far too many people use AS as a "quick fix" and get into trouble, but that's their call. People make mistakes and screw up every day, I try not to worry about it.

I think its far better when someone has really trained naturally for quite a while. Their training regeimen is down, they know their bodies and how it responds, they have diet, rest, carido, all aspects handled, and probably most imprtant, their various support systems (tendons, cartlidge, heart, lungs, etc) are also developed to handle the added strain of a fast increase in muscle mass.

Wow, I guess my perception of DR.'s X rant is different from most. I thought is was merely a suggestion of knowing all you can about physique and fitness before taking advantage of "assistance".

Some if not most of the board members here are probably sub 22. It's shocking to hear that they frequently use AS at their peak. The natural high testosterone level in sub-22 individuals is more than enough to help one grow. Like Dr. X, I believe that one should wait until an individual reaches a certain level of maturity, he/she explored every other options, and reached a plateu in their fitness goals.

I know, I know, what's the difference with OTC supplements and AS. Aside for the legal implications, there's hardly any difference. I argue the same point when I try to rationalize why I should take AS.

I don't know about anyone else but I find the main difference in OTC and AS is that, AS actually WORK!
I've gained more in 3 weeks on gear than I have in 9 years using OTC supplements!!
