My grip used to fail on pulling exercises all the time when I was younger. So I started using straps, and my grip got weaker while my pulling muscles got stronger, thus increasing the strength disparity.
Bad Mojo. I too wish I had never used them. I have not used them in the last year, and my grip is much better, and incidentally, my forearms are now over 15 inches. I doubt the grip or forearms would be where they are without dropping the straps.
