I've put up with ridiculous stuff from people who had the traits listed above.
But I cannot stand people who refuse to grow up. It isn't about wearing a suit and making money and being boring. I just mean that at a certain age people need to start taking responsibility for themselves and stop blaming their problems on others or on their past. You either have the strength to get the fuck over it and get your shit together, or you are hopeless and a waste of my time.

my ideal and what i've attracted are two different animals. i firmly believe, we attract what we need. this belief is not some baseless
notion rooted in new age rhetoric, but rather, it is firmly grounded in psychoanalytic theory.

case in point: my early childhood was chaotic and completely dysfunctional. my mother was a fruitcake and our home was wrought
with emotional strife and instability. i've worked long and hard to overcome this insane legacy and i've refused to imbibe my
children with the horrible world view my mother passed along to me. growing up in terror and always waiting for the next shoe to
drop makes for a fucked up childhood. i've done MUCH better for my kids. however, i seem to be eternally attracted to unstable
women.........go figure lol. having said that, i'll say this:

things i find attractive: quite, contemplative demeanor. intelligent, but not pretentiously so. thoughtful and caring. loves children
and has respect and compassion for the elderly. not ambitious. loves lots and lots of sex and is comfortable with her body.

things i find VERY attractive: all the above but insane.

circumstance. ( it's a very abstract phrase and that's the best i can do )

Thanks for that, the becoming an adult is really important to me as well.

I think I am quite judgemental of women who never grow up. There really isn't any less attractive than a woman who is 30 + who is still acting 'cutesy', or a man who is still acting like jack the lad.


Another deal breaker for me, well it will never get started, is someone who HAS to be in a relationship. If you have never stood on your own two feet and had a period of your life where you were single, I won't go there.

There are people who have someone lined up, so just move from one relationship into the next.

I know how a childhood like that is like. I never knew when my stepdad was going to get in the mood to beat my mother. I was a nervous wreck as a child.
