What is the biggest bench at your gym?

Was training with a guy i work with that has the nickname "meathead." He's 5'6" and 215 (made him get on the scale after i saw his bench). I saw him do 415 for 6 reps and my jaw hit the floor. That's the most I have personally seen. I workout at Gold's in Lexington, KY.

At the gym I workout there is one person who benches 500 lbs. The thing about him is he'll do 10 reps at 500, than relax for about 15 minutes and do the exact same again. He'll repeat this for about 5 to 6 sets, simply amazing.

My gym sucks, I live in a small town in England

There is my gym and then there is a dungeon style gym elsewhere in town, I think I am going to leave my gym (which has all the gear but not the right people!!) and goto the dungeon style gym, its in an old warehouse has no aircon and all the stuff is old style, like Arnie era, but theres some big guys in there

I was looking around today, I am v.happy with my progress, but I was thinking where is my motivation in this place

i was also thinking i could do with a training partner

Hmm... I usually get motivated when I work out in a place where most of the people are bigger than me. It makes me want to work harder to get to that point.

I am with Leviathan, the big weights either motivate you or intimidate you. They happen to motivate me. There are no limits!
