a rotary press is a chest press or shoulder press made by paramount. the motion is supposed to simulate the path taken by dbells.
a cable bar raise is similar to a front shoulder raise you would do with a straight bar or dbells. usually people face away from a low cable and run the bar from the front of their thighs up to shoulder height and back down with straight arms. a rather intricate setup in most cases. best bet is to stick with a straight bar raise to the front or dbells.
