what do you guys do with teh egg yolks?

I'll use maybe one yolk / day ( along w/ the several whites I use) and toss the rest. I thought I could put them in my cat's food for glossy coat, etc. but he just looks at me like "what the hell is that yellow shit on my food??" So... they go to the drain. I also have an ingrained aversion to throwing things out, but then that's probably half the reason I have a "bodyfat issue". I figure the guilt from wasting egg yolks is smaller than the bitch sessions that will result from me "not wasting" anything and having it allgo to my hips. I got enough hips already.

Would anyone like some hip? I have lots and will gladly donate to a loving home.

You know what's great about an egg? In terms of nutrients, protein, amino acids, yadda yadda yadda...It's the only thing you can eat that's an ENTIRE animal. You get it all.

:worried:

I'm never going to look at an egg the same way again.

actually....once in awhile u can use the egg yolks for a mask on ur skin, helps get rid of redness...packed full of vitamin A

but i usually toss em, i keep the empty shell and yolk in the carton in the fridge so it doesnt stink up the garbage either..

You ladies do know that there is no evidence that dietary cholesteral adds to blood cholesteral right? Two totally different creatures I am afraid.
And why would the fat in an egg go to your hips?

The reason is the same as the one behind the old low fat diets. Fat has 9 cals per gram, as opposed to the 4 cals per gram from carbs and protein. So reducing the unncessary fat is the easiest way to reduce calories. Excess calories generally cause a person to gain weight, and if you're a woman, that can usually mean the hips/thighs/bum.

Ahh, thought maybe there was another reason.
Personally I like the way fat adds so many calories, and how it stretches out digestion. (or so I am under the impression) I like to eat 6 eggs before I go to bed at night (well, the morning for you all) With no Carbs, I didn't think it would make me fat, but you had me worried there for a minute. Plus eggs seem to tide me over for the most of the 8 hours or so I sleep, or at least make it so that I am not as hungry when I wake up.
Hell, If I ate 2 egg yolks and 4 egg whites, I would only be getting like 280 calories as apposed to the full 500 or so calories that I need to get my 3500 calories for the day. (Just started eating this many cals this week btw)
Is this a pretty good practice? Or should I avoid the fat? Keep in mind, if I eat too many carbs I get all sleepy, So I only take in 150-200g of carbs tops, so Fat is really the only way I can get my Cals in.
