I like Norman's idea of getting rejected a few times to ease your fear of being rejected. I just think you should choose a 'safer' (for your ego) situation than random women, who might be MUCH ruder than someone you are acquainted with.

Maybe , BUT if he starts hitting on the women within his clique he might get rejected from his friends altogether.Losing your friends isn´t worth it.
Anyone else got some good tips, i´m still trying myself, so i´m interested ,too. The above is what i think i´ve found out so far

No women who asked for my number ever called back. I had the impression they wanted to get rid off me that way

Oh yeah, I didn't mean he should hit on his buddies! I meant that it might be easier for him to strike up a conversation with a woman he works with than it would be be to chat up a woman at the grocery store. But yeah, getting rejected by good friends is a BUMMER and wrecks the relationship. Been there, done that!!!

I didn't mean that you should give out your number instead of asking for hers -- I just meant that you should exchange numbers. If not at the moment when you get hers, then when you call her.

my thoughts exactly. if a guy can manage to talk to a girl a few times before he tries to pick her up, hes gonna have alot better shot.

men would pretty much go home with anyone who asked, especially late at night. lol. but women tend to look for potential relationships, and we dont want to waste time on somebody we dont know.

going out alone is a good idea. theres nothing more harmful to picking a girl up than for her to see a bunch of your buddies high-fiving eachother behind you. its just like an invitation to hell. lol.

by the way, the guys had some good advice too.
