......at the spa I work at. You can't stay in no longer than 30min. I had just gotten finished with my workout, so before hand I was guzzling down water like a fish, along with drinking it while I was in the sauna. So I'm wondering "Why is it that everyone else sweats like a damn hog up in here, and I have not formed one droplet of sweat?" Well, I didn't start sweating until I have 6 min. left. So I asked my boss why I only sweat a little, and she said because it depends on how much BF you have.........which is like non-existent for me. So I was bummed. Anyhoo, the dry-heat sauna is rockin! It releases all kinda of toxins-n-shit (don't feel like getting into detail), then after I had a massage. Oh man, was I in heaven last night!!! He hit the right spot where all of my back pain begins, in my glutes. Felt like he just pushed a button and the pain was gone!
:p

So along with my 2hr. workout, I will spend another 1/2 hr in the dry-heat room seeing as how works wonders! (hopefully it'll take somma dat weed outta my system!!):fro:

I know a lady who never sweats...She is NOT lean by any means of the word either. She has a medical condition that prevents her from sweating! Strange but true.....

I think I've of heard of that too... like there are no sweat glands in the skin. & and I do think they have to be very careful not to overheat.

I could swear I've read multiple places that a more fit individual sweats more easily & more quickly & just MORE. Because 1. Your body is efficient at cooling. 2. Your body is used to the demands you place on it & thus efficiently begins to cool you right away.--- so I suppose this wouldn't apply to those who don't do much cardio.

Otherwise maybe it's just partly a genetic thing. I started sweating more when I did cardio more intensely, even though my bf went down. Now I'm decreasing the intensity of my cardio & sweating less (still slightly leaner than the past).

Yes, VERY un-healthy NOT to be able to sweat .

She takes meds for the condition. I had NEVER heard of such a thing until I met her.

Thanks for the kind words as well,ladies.... I like my lil onions too... Want 'em bigger but I'll take what I got and work on the rest.

Whaddup doll?!
Same here, at my gym we have the pool and jacuzzi, dry-heat room and steam room.......even though the equipment is falling apart!

I used to sauna almost everyday (lived in a house that had one) and it seemed to me like the more you do it, the easier it is for you to sweat. I think some of it is all the gunk in the pores getting cleaned out, maybe.

I loves me some saunas!

Wyst

Hum.....we'll I'm a very big fan of the sauna, but when I go in there I sweat like a run away slave. I make sure to take a gallon of H2O in there with me. I also stay in there for about an hour to 1.5 hours. I'm just use to it.
