Well, even though I've been eating like shit and not training, I still curled 90's

Yeah, I went in and worked out the other day, just doing a kind of fully body- get some blood in there- stretch the muscle out- type of deal. I didn't do any big stuff like squats or deads, but I was surprised when I was messing around on the dumbbell rack and did a few sets of standing curls.

65 x 6
75 x 6
90 x 5 (leaned back some on last rep)

Funny, because my muscles felt soft as hell and looked flat. Sometimes you can never tell.

Thats a hell of a lot of weight to curl. You didn't use momentum? I think the most I've done is 65's for reps.

very true.... I have had days like that before.

Then again, there are some days I go in and train with less intensity and much less weight that I normally use, do not even break a sweat... wake up the next morning sore as hell.

Just have to keep telling yourself, that your body is not a machine... can't expect it perform on schedule all the time.

Last one was swung pretty good. Not as bad as I could have, but still quite a cheat. The others were pretty good curls, but they weren't the type of "hold and squeeze" that I could do with 65's, naturally. Still, if it had been a total shitset, I wouldn't have posted about it- internet or not. :)

If you look at my pics on here (especially the bulking front-double-bi), you can see that biceps are one of my stronger points as far as size goes. Luckily, my strength seems to finally be catching up. For a couple of agonizing years, they weren't nearly as strong as I would have liked for them to have been for their size.

True, it shouldn't surprise me. You are one big mofo.

You know, Ive noticed the same thing only with 80's lol. When I came back after a long layoff I had no problem resuming my arm training right where I left off, doing sets of three with 80 lbs. Not the very first workout, I did 75's but by my second one, I was back full strength on the biceps. But my squat, overhead and deadlift all went in the toilet.

rotating curls or palm forward curls? Rotating curls are easier.

no one will ever top the 135 hammer curl
