Weird Question about Dextrose.....need help...

The only two places that I know of online to get Dextrose are supplement direct and proteinfactory.com So, I usually get my stuff from protein factory. Well, the measurements they list are that 1/3 of a cup is 40 grams of dextrose. So, I assume dextrose is dextrose right? Well, on supplementdirect.com when you look up the ingrediants for their dextrose, it says 1/3 cup is 75 grams of dextrose. WTF!?!? They both say pure dextrose, so doesnt that mean no fillers or anything? How could this be?

A regular old freaking dry measuring cup is what I'm assuming. Anyone else comment? Are there different kinds of dextrose??

really,I don't think there are several kind of dextrose...you should e-mail them and ask them .

I ran into the same problem with several proteins, my dextrose, etc... I just took a cup of each into work and weighed it on the mail scale. (in grams)

Doesnt that seem strange though. It makes me think the dextrose from protein factory is not pure, or has fillers or something like that. They are the same measure, both a third of a cup, but one contains double what the other does?? That just doesnt make sense to me.

I remember that my proteinfactory dextrose weighed heavier than label claim. I think they just estimated the weight so it is off -- not that it actually weighs less. The same thing happened with my CFM and flax powder.

I think were getting wires crossed a little bit. On supplement directs website, they list 1/3 cup of their dextrose powder as having 75 grams of dextrose. Well, on protein factory's listing, again 1/3 of a cups, same measure as supplementdirects, but only having 40 grams of dextrose. So they both have the same measure, 1/3 of a cup, with protein factory's having almost half as much dextrose for the same measure. Now how's that happen?
