Want to build muscle, but its hard!

If you still sore from your legs let them recover. About working out when sore, it can be done but only if you feed yourself well enough, otherwise you will end looking thinner than before.

Stretching aids for recovery, try it whenever possible. Warm up before beginning your workout and stretch between sets.
 
You are right nikki I really do not eat enough to replenish my muscles. I am really really really sore. I have been like this since wed when I did my workout. Like I mean its hard to walk sore. Did I go overboard?? Another thing is it ok to workout while you are still sore? I have not worked out since wed because I have been so damn sore. Is stretching a factor, because I did not really stretch before or after I worked out on wed.

I have been so sore that I have had such bad nausea with each step I thought I would throw up.

The latest things from the exercise research is not to stretch before or immediately after you do resistance training.

Before will reduce your strength and increase chances of injury, similarly after (wait two hours).

I would hold off the training, it is not just the muscles but your central nervous system that is also depleted, and it can take longer to recover than the muscles.

Active recovery is key, so keep moving, extra walking, a bit of a cycle, light cardio to get the blood moving.
 
Im happy I did well! I thought I was hurting myself, lol...haha. Tatyana... how long is too long before the next workout? What I mean is I have not worked out since Wed so is Monday fine to start again, even if im a little sore?
