took the kidz to Disney water parks this week and I was shocked to see not only how many fat people but how obese everyone was! holy shit, 7 out of 10 people were not only overweight, but obese, not just waist fat but fat all around and sadly including teenagers too.....Funny I noticed the few that are not fat or obese were mostly Europeans, so you go figure
anyways, this really got me a huge boost to further trim myself down from my current 17% BF (219lbs @ 6'1''), but still was shocked to see just how overweight people are out there, this is a real health problem , no facking joke!

anyways...feel free to rant along or whatever, but for me was huge morale boost to cut down and more so staying that way

Theme parks are especially scary.

Sure, people get busy in life with work and kids and all of that, so they may not have the time to get into the gym every day. Even so, there's a lot you can do to stay in shape, even if you're not getting jacked. People who let themselves get so obese but don't try really need to wake up and get on top of things. If you don't do anything about it, there's no hope of getting better -- only worse.

The worst part is definitely the younger people... teens and 20's. These are the people who can still pretty easily rectify the problem. All it takes is some motivation, and I don't know about you but if I was fat, that's all the motivation I need to square my ass away.

I was watching a show on obesity the other day, and it showed the insane explosion in the past 20 years of childhood and adult obesity. And based on the numbers, around 2015 it is predicted that 75% of people in the US will be overweight, and 25% of that will be obese.

That's crazy, but I definitely believe it. Inactivity is becoming way too much of a trend in the U.S. It's really gotten bad. Why would you allow yourself to become obese?? I know there are some medical conditions that make it really hard to lose weight but that can't be the case for everyone.

A friend of mine was telling me about a show that I think Dateline did about seriously obese children. They're so out of control that the parents have to padlock the refrigerator and shit to prevent them from eating. But the kids still do crazy things to get food like ordering a pizza and having the guy deliver it to the side of the house, paying for it through a window. How insane is that shit? Obviously the parents are responsible too.

Our society is becoming fat and lazy. Not a good thing at all.

I went to Disney a summer or two ago and made the same observation. Those Disney parks are filled with overweight people.. to the point that this 5'4" 250 pound woman was smoking a cigarette ranting about how fat all the 400 pound people were ROFL.

kinda makes me glad i dropped from 230 at 5'6 to 155.. looked scary skinny.. ate more of better food and worked out now im at 180 at 12% bodyfat... i look around and see what you guys are seeing..... god this country is going to hell in a hand bag

When I was down in disney I noticed the same thing. At least the fat people make me feel good about myself :chomp:
