I respect our e-relationship. I hold very different views with many of my friends. I have a saber wit and I don't suffer people I consider wrong headed in their beliefs. I think you read too much Freud into my relationship with my father. The man made tremendous achievements. He did more with less and I was the favorite child...my self imposed expectations were worse than any pressure he put on me.It's the expectation I disliked....not the man....he was my role model.

Flip the switch like the others are saying. Personally I would ignore her completely for about a week or two (she's not going anywhere like others have said). If she's actually interested then you will notice HER starting to occasionally drift around and try to spark conversation. If she doesn't, then she was never interested in the first place and you can move on.
Then if she does start showing signs of interest (occasional contact, joking, showing up when you're getting coffee/food, etc.) you can start with a different strategy than got you shot down in the first place.

i work on a huge campus so i don't see her everyday. plus she sits in a very quiet section. if i were to see her frequently that might be frowned upon.
No I felt that you had no disdain for the man himself and have affection...
However, there probably was a going back and forth on the Man himself on and accepting the position he took in life.
I dunno, I could be way off..
U gotta a valid point though, alot of what I feel and percieve is not so much based on Freud, but has a ton of Jung.
