Training and Diet while juicin

I've been doing a Test/EQ/Dbol cycle for 2 weeks now, strength is really good and I've gained 7 pounds.

Training

Before my cycle I was trying both 2-day (chest-back-shoulders / tris-bis-legs) and a 3-day (chest-back / bis-tris / legs-shoulders) It seemed that the 2-day was overtraining and the 3-day has been working really well for me.

Now that I'm on juice though should I go with a 2-day or 3-day routine?

Diet

I'm 5'11 181 (was 174 before I started) and have been eating about 150g of protein a day so far, I'm trying to get up to 250g but its a pain to find that much time to eat (job and school keep me pretty busy). How much protein should I have optimally on a daily basis? What about carbs? I haven't been keeping track of carbs at all. What about water? I've been drinking about 10 cups a day - is that enough? Is there anything else I should do with my diet?

More protein, you should get atleast 250 grams a day to optimize the gear. And on your 3 day how many rest days do you have? How often exactly are you hitting each bodypart? More water would be better, and if you want to grow more carbs wouldbe great. If you can't eat that much look into protein drinks and even carb drinks...

Here's a breakdown of exactly what I do:

Day 1
Chest: Bench, Incline, Flys
Back: Pullups, Pulldowns, Rows

Day 2
Biceps: Barbel Curls, Incline Dumbell Curls
Triceps: Rope pulldown, Overhead Barbel, Dips

Day 3:
Shoulders: Press, Shrugs, extend dumbel sideways, extend dumbel forward
Legs: Leg Press, Hamstring Curls, Standing & Sitting Cavs

I usually work in abs at least once during this as well.

I would take a day off with the 2day, but I don't take any days off now with the 3day.

I've just heard that when your "on" you can work out a lot and not worry about overtraining - how true is that?

You can still overtrain while on heavy amounts of drugs especially without adequate calories and protein...Remember muscle is built while resting, not while training.

Follow this advice man!!! You are definitely overtraining, you should spread out your workouts a little better, i mean only if you want to grow!! Maybe something similar to this:

Mon - Legs
Tues - Chest
Wed - Back
Thurs - Shoulders
Fri - Arms
Sat/Sun - OFF

No on is going to agree on one set way to workout BUT everyone is going to agree that you are overtraining. You train the same as you would when your off gear!! And man, its not that hard to eat more thru-out the day, you could always throw in some protein shakes or meal-replacement bars to help out!! Good luck bro and try to absorb some info from us!!!

When I train naturally vs. on gear, I only add one more heavy set.
Muscles need to rest and relax, that's when they grow.

Thanks for all the advice guys - I'm soaking it all up

Well I was thinking I wasn't training enough but it sounds like I need to spend less time in the gym and more time at the dinner table.

What protein shakes do you guys use? I've been using Pro Blend 55 and MyoPlex (42g), but I've heard that a lot of protein shakes on the market are crap - any suggestions?

You really should get you total cals. up to around 4000 p/d with 400 g/d of protein. The majority should come from meats or dairy. Most protein drinks taste like crap but if you want to make the most of your cycle, hold your breath while drinking. Your diet will dictate your gains more than anything (aside of overtraining).

yeah bro i have to agree do the 3 day routine.. and up the cals.. shoot for 2grams of protien per lb of body weight and keep your cals high... you might gain some fat but its better to eat more than enough and gain a bit of fat and not gain the most amount of muscle.. its feb. so a lil extra body weight wont hurt too much..

Hey for the meal thing I found this stuff by cyto tech... with water a serving(4 scoops) has 56g of protein, 5 g of fat, and 80g of carbs with only 5 g of it being sugar. I havent tried it yet but I think that this would be great especially for bulking(add some skim milk) and ur up to around 800 calories. Its easy since I'm at school now and I know its hard to always find time to eat. Hope this may help.
