Too early to start gear?

I am 21 and have been training for a year, I am 135 pounds 5' 9" and it's safe to say that I am a hardgainer (6" wrists) I have to say that after reading alot of the posts on this board, I am very tempted by gear. Have a few niggling worries tho. Is it true that yoor head and jawline get bigger? And i am a bit dodgy about injecting. Can anyone put my mind at ease.

Eat more bro and food is the most anabolic supplement you can get for cheap :)

but my advice is to wait a little bit longer-- i should have.

thanks for the advice Terminator, I do eat loads of protein about 180 grmas a day. Carbs and clories are where the problem lie, I get 900 from a weight gainer and struggle to make the rest up to 2500. Suppose I'll get used to it though. Any tips on getting extra calories?

You may have a problem using the calories you are getting. A lot of "hard gainers" simply don't utilize protein well. Try adding ginger and enzymes you your protein meals to help you digest and fully utilize the protein... it may make a huge difference.

No way, keep training and eating. Try some new routines. It's about three things:

Training intensity: push the muscle to grow
Calories: type and amount
Rest: recovery

I a starting a new training program after reading Beyond Brawn which consists of sticking mostly to heavy basics training twice a week to avoid overtraining. Hopefully I will start putting on size again. Gear is still really tempting tho...

You can put on the same size in the same amount of time without gear. I had a guy start working out with me maybe once or twice a week. In a few months he is up 20 pounds. If he upped his protein to where it needs to be he would be at atleast 25-30 pounds in six months.

Exactly what I was going to recommend. I train an extreme hardgainer at my gym actually. He is 6'2 and about 150 pounds. He is eating 7-8 times a day and trains 2 times a week with me now for one hour. Day 1 is Legs and Abs. Day 2 is upper body(without abs though). Monday and Friday he trains and he does 5 minutes cardio only to get his blood flowing.(I shouldn't even count that as cardio though.)

What kind of routine does he do? In particular how many reps + sets does he do per exercise? I usually do about 6 sets per exercise but thinking about reducing them to 2-3. what do you think?
