Tis the question?
Not proclaiming to be a guru or nothing. That's why I ask questions.
Anywhoo, All I've ever trained for is to condition muscles for endurance for motocross. But I want to dip back into bodybuilding.
2 years ago I was a fat ass at age 17 205 lbs. Got serious about riding and weighed 160 someodd pounds 3 months later.
That fall blew my knee and tore ligaments etc.. and that Jan 03 weighed a whopping 139lbs. after taking pain killers killing my appetite. Got scared and started lifting when I was able.
Started back my old highschool (got my ged in Jan 02) routines, basic. Couple months later I weighed 145lbs. at probably around 6-7% bodyfat. I could see my ribcage and all, and people said I needed to pack on fat. So I did while vacationing in summer 03 & took off lifting. Ever since I never really got back into it, and just this last year I gained weight to where I weigh 175lbs. now, barely see my abs in mirror.
So far, I thought I wanted to get back into endurance shape, so I started training endurance wise start of this past Nov. I weighed 185lbs, and come 3 weeks later I weighed 175lbs to where I am now.
But I burned myself out. Training like a gerbial animal doing aerobic shit burns me out fast if I ain't riding. So I thought I would take a stroll down bodybuilding lane. For the last week been doing 3day/wk 3x10 basic highschool routines like I said.
I've also been eating around 3000 calories which I've never done. 2.2g pro/lb, 2gcarb, and let the fat fall wherever it does. And I gotta tell ya, it's a refreshing relief to casually pump some iron and not have to eat rabbit food.
But I'm kinda complexed has to whether I should drop down to a nice looking 160lbs and then bulk, or if I should bulk now and not have to go back and forth. Another words should I bite the bullet and gain some decent mass now and worry about the fat later, or should I loose the fat, the gain some muscle and fat so I'm not a whale?
Just wandering if there is anybody that has been down this road before.
Thanks, kudos to whoever read all that!
