toe in or toe out calf exercises

One exercise I've been interested in getting some different exercises for is the calf raises. I've done them seated, standing, toe in, toe out, straight on. Besides these two exercises with the slight foot position modifications, what do you guys do to maximize your gains? Do you think one is better than the other?

depends if i want the solius worked..

to answer, I do my warmups with the hip sled 6 plates, and I do pyramid sets, so I stop doing calf raises after the leg press on set 3 at 8 plates.. then i pyramid down, starting calf raises at 8 plates again..

also standing raises to failure as long as i can get 25 reps..

but then again, i get accused of having calf implants, so its' part genetics too...

I've been using a lot of partials with a hard contraction each time and it's worked great. Also, the toes-in, toes-out approach is useless. Try inversion and eversion: "The secret to targeting the different areas of the calf muscle is to angle the pressure by rolling over on your big toe (inversion) or rolling over on your little toes (eversion). You should be angling the soles of your feet. Targeting has everything to do with form and technique, not rotating the knees. At least with angling you can actually take advantage of a movement that occurs in the ankle. Rolling over on the big toe will stress the lateral head more, while rolling over on the smaller toes will direct more of the resistance to the medial head. Roll and angle the pressure rather than turning and twisting." Ultimate Calf Training

two groups of people with big calves are, fat people, and toe walkers (like little kids do, ya know?). So combine the two. Get fat (or heavy) and start toe walking.

ceo whats toe walking?

and where the hell do you get a 100lb weighted vest from lol

Is your google not working bro?

lol, toe walking. You ever watched some little kids walking? It's very common in toddlers. Some people continue it well beyond that stage. They usually tend to be skinnier guys, but with decent calves.

Of course the fat guys have huge calves because they need them to support all that weight. I've seen people lose a hundred pounds or more and still have big calves.

Toe walking is those people you look at that appear to have something in their a-hole as they are walking ....haha ....but with ripped calves
