S siggma New member May 17, 2011 #1 is there a difference? i'm lifting at home and the bar is a standard olympic bar (45lbs) but the bar is a little bit thinner than the ones i used in gyms. i was wondering if i really need to buy a thicker bar? any thoughts?

b fold the truth Elite Strongman Platinum May 17, 2011 #2 If it's 45 pounds it isn't that much thinner...but I greatly dislike thin bars with my larger hands.
