I got weighed at my doctor's office today by a nurse I see intermittently. Her actual words were "wow, you've lost some weight" before I got on the scale and then she was stunned and I mean completely shocked that I actually weighed in 1kg heavier. On the BMI scale thingy, I'm officially obese.

 at the medical profession.

And that $300 I spent on the Tanita was a complete waste of money. I'm not getting on the damn thing again.
That's my second gurlllll (Bunny is my first for today)
Seeee and you have been worried all along Mermy about what people think of you and what you weigh.... It looks like you are coming around and are finally getting rewired YEAHHHHH

Last I checked, there is a big ocean not too far from you that you could fling that piece of scrap metal into...

By the way...congrats on the compliment and new muscle. :D

Yesterday, I just heard the "trainer" at my gym telling this girl (who actually looks BETTER than the trainer) that she should VEERYYYY closely monitor her weight. Like every other day to see that she will be losing weight!

God It made me mad, this girl did not even look like she should lose ANY weight BUT she could put on some muscle. The trainer looks like she is like 35% BF who walks around in a sport bra and tighty shorts.

As women we are conditioned from birth to believe that the scale is the all-powerful measuring stick for your self-worth. If you don't fall into the "acceptable range" for your age & height - you are somehow deemed unworthy.

Well to the people who made those rules and those who blindly follow them all I can say is "puk you & the horse you rode in on." And if they can't understand that then how about "blow me a**wipe."

EF helped me to realize that I don't have to let the scale control my life & that it ISN'T a measure for someones self-worth.

I know that:
muscle weighs more than fat
muscle takes up less space than fat does
the scale cannot see my clothes fitting better
the scale cannot touch me to determine that there's less to pinch
the scale cannot tell the difference between muscle, fat, bones, fluid, etc.
the scale is not a measure for self-worth but simply a measure of mass.
