Did a little more construction work today.
Hannibal and spatts have been wanting a platform to go inside the power rack so they could use a wider stance for squatting, GM's, and deadlifts. Basically, I made 3 boxes out of 2x4, and topped it with 3/4" ply. I placed the two outside boxes a little further out from the base of the power rack to make the platform easier to remove. The center box has a couple of addition 2x4 braces to better support weight. The final dimensions worked out to be 6' x 2', and we'll eventually cut mats for the top of both platforms.
The nice thing is everything we build is the same height, so the other sumo platform serves as an extension to the base, and we can use our squat boxes on either side of the power rack for deadlifts.
