just pop in a porn, then be like... any questions?

is it a tough task for you to explain what sex is like? telling them when it's best to have sex?

some parent you would be. they mostly will say ewww! yuck! i don't like that! you gotta go slow with them bro!

I learned 99% of my sex ed stuff by talking about hooking up w/ girls w/ my friends. My parents never went that deep. They were just like, is there anything you need to talk about? I was like... nope school already covered it, you're off the hook guys.

Unfortunately due to the media they are all way to aware of what it is to be gay.

do you think that is going to affect their sexuality? Especially since the media says "it's OK to be gay"?

We always just answer what they ask. They start asking at an early age. We keep it breif and simple and if they still have questions they will ask some more - then you answer some more.

As a result my first two children know all about penis', vaginas, sperm, and sexually transmitted disease by the time they were 5. My 3rd is only 7 and knows a man fertlizes a womans egg and it grows inside the mommy- she has not asked any more.

We did discuss why its better to wait until you are married to have children - because they know some single mothers and its easy to point out how much more difficult it is to raise children when you have to do everything : work, clean, help with homework etc.

Unfortunately due to the media they are all way to aware of what it is to be gay.

To be honest with you I hope not, but I worry about it. I think many kids are copy cats in that they often only do things when they see others do it. They have shown that suicide goes up when another kids suicide is greatly publicized and reported in the news - copy cats. Being gay, no matter how cool or "in" it might be in the media - is going to make life harder. I don't want my kids life any harder than it has to be. It will never be completely accepted as a public norm so it will always be ostracized by many. I don't want that for them.

CCP, That girl in your avatar rocks, by the way.

My Daughter is turning 12 this month.
Mrs Y told her all about her period just recently before is happens so she will not freak out.

They have given it a code name of DOT so they can talk about it
in front of me without embarrasment when it happens...

We have had rabbits, so she knows the ins and outs(pun intended) of sex and pregnancy.

Rabbits and cable tv for the girls. Porno mags and bullshit stories from other kids for the boys. I never had the talk with my pops, and I turned out fairly normal.
