supposed to train less during post-cycle

I remember reading an article a while back that said your actually supposed to work-out less after your cycle. I didn't think much of it cause it just didn't make sense to me and they didn't explain the "why". Anyway, I just ran across another article that said the same thing. During the cycle, you should train 6 days on, 1 day off, and after our cycle, 3 days on, 4 days off. Doing so will supposedly help you keep your gains. It went on to say that most people draw the rationale that if you train harder during post-cycle, you will help keep your gains more. But the opposite effect results.

Can anyone explain to me why this is so, if it is actually true?

your recovery time is non-existent when on AAS, but once ur off u need more time so u dont over train and get hurt.

I dont know for sure but I have heard it is b/c you cant recover as fast. Which I interpretted it to mean that you will be breaking your muscles down and letting them slightly recover then breaking them down even more until you have lost some of your gained muscle. Thats just how I interpretted it I have no idea if it is right - probably not but anyways, just thought I would add my .02

Oh ok..that makes sense. Thanks bro's. Keep bumping this, because I don't think people generally know about this.

training three days a week??????

that seems like a little to much rest.....i can see maybe cutting back to four and working everybodypart once a week....but 3 days on and 4 days off would make me fatt butt.....it seems it would make anyone soft.

I know what you're saying. It's hard not to go to the gym on your off days. It just feels like your wasting time. You just got to look at the facts though and change you train of thought.

Right after coming off, you might even do well to take a whole week off from the weights. Trying to work out too hard right after the cycle will mess you up and make you even more depressed than you already are...

But in time things should return to normal and you could up the workouts until it felt comfortable.

My training regimen is pretty different "off" than it is "on." As you get older you don't have the recovery powers while "off." (While "on" I can add all kinds of extra sets and grow on 5-6 days a week of training.)
