I think the point is, you gain absolutely nothing in making a derogatory comment about someone's child. If you gain anything from that, then you seriously lack the emotional intelligence necessary to make it in the real world. I hate to break it to you, but college is not the real world.
"Real world" comment is such a cop out. I'm in the real world too. I had to bust my ass to get the grades I wanted, I earned them. Now I bust my ass in law school. And even you would know law school, especially the first year, is EXTREMELY hard. Learning 100 pages per day of new material is much more demanding on the brain than most jobs out there. I've seen the movie office space too.
