Stirring the Pot...

Frankly I am extremely liberal when it comes to taking "illegal" substances. :) I am from the school of "It's my body and I shall put into it whatever I damn well please, thank you."

I also use the analogy of using other drugs - if you have a headache is taking aspirin cheating??

I had an epidural (sp?) when I gave birth, is that cheating??

My argument for people waiting to take AS is from a little different angle. There is NOTHING like the feeling of being on AS, the pumps, the overall well-being, the super-human feeling, the ability to make quick gains, the hardness of your muscles (ooooohhhh, the hardness, there is nothing like it)

I am sure many of you experienced users will agree, once you start it's difficult to stop. I've been off for 5 months or so now and I can tell you that the thought of starting another cycle is all consuming.

It's has taken a tremendous amount of mental strength for me not to get "on" again....

I think that if someone hasn't gotten to know their body and tested it's limits and made some significant gains naturally, then the lure of AS may be too much to resist. I honestly think there is an element of AS use for women that isn't really discussed, even here, and it's the possibility of depression at the end of a cycle because of the loss of all those wonderful feelings I listed above and the knowledge that you will NEVER feel that way again, until your next cycle.

Ladies, I can tell you that resisting the urge to start another cycle is something I live with on a daily basis.

Just something to think about.......

I hope you appreciate being able to get something out of doses that a guy would consider microscopic. The cost savings alone would be nice.

A reason why one could use a specfic form of AAS ahead of "schedule" would be in the case of injury, where a substance like nandrolone deconate will increase the secretion of synovial fluid. This can help a great deal when training through or around an injury.

Other reasons would include participation in a sport where everyone else is using. This does not make it right, but if the difference between 1st and also-ran is small, something out of a vial can be all the difference in the world.

LOL - no not at all because IMO we ladies got screwed right out the gate when it comes to hormones. It costs us money just to be kind of equal to you naturally.

I use for a lot of reasons, at almost 40 years old my body just simply does not respond to anything the way that it used to. My diet is on track, my training is on track. Did I wait quite a bit to use? Yes. Was my body responding without the gear? Yup.
Does it respond better with it? Yes. Do I have competitve aspirations? Not in a million years. I could have lived the rest of my life without it, could have looked pretty good in spite of my shitty genetics (and don't even get me started on those) but I do not view AS any differently than any other component in this project, I eat what I eat not because it tastes good but because it will get me the results that I want, I train like I train not because I love it but because it gets me the results that I want.
Ox on the other hand, well, it is simply a tool but I take it because I like it. I could take viagra or some of that test gel to combat the decreasing sex drive in an old woman but why not take somthing that is going to fix that little problem and have a couple of side effects like added strength and muscle.
I am well aware of the sides but really the sides that I have experienced from ox are far more tolerable than those that I have from that damned high protein diet.

It kind of amuses me at all the people that flip out when a woman talks about taking some gear. It takes very little for her to get results, there are options that are going to have very few if any sides if taken in low doses, she doesn't have to taper or use any anitestros and hell she really never has to come off unless she wants to. For men it is a whole different ball game and nobody bats an eye.

Personally I absolutely agree with Sassy69
So would that make me a moderate in my approach????

I'm still an AS virgin, and enjoy learning all I can from these boards, as muscle's not built by AS alone. Anyway, it's not something I'd rule out for when I'm older for anti-aging/quality of life benefits when I start to experience muscle and strength decline.

People can put whatever they want in their bodies for whatever good or bad reasons, and that's none of my business. Even so, I do have the opinion that someone should have their diet and training in order and know how the drug they're considering works, the side effects, etc. With all that under their belt, they'll get better results and have a better chance at maintaining. I feel strongly that anyone who can't handle the basics of diet and training first should not be taking AS, but the decision is ultimately theirs, as are the potential consequences. While it would be nice to wait until reaching ones genetic potential, no one really knows when that is anyway, it's a personal call.

The main reason I haven't taken AS is because it's illegal in my country. Granted the chance of being caught is small, it'd be my luck to be made an example. There's still room for improvement, but I've pretty much reached my goals as far as muscle size and leanness. Maybe it could've happened more quickly or easily w/ AS, but who knows, it doesn't matter now. The slow road wasn't that bad. Other people have different goals and genetics from me, so I can't speak for them, just myself.

I agree with your post and Im sure most of the board members will also.....but In my past experience - I was called RUDE, Jealous , even called a "hater" for speaking my mind on this issue....People want what they want and they wanted it yesterday, so now I keep my mouth shut - its thier body anyway :)

did you get that booty shaking down yet luvs?:p

Sorry my last post was off topic.....

Ok, I have not used AS and I don't plan on it anytime soon because I believe my goals are attainable naturally. I was blessed with fairly good genetics (except for my calves, rear dealts and thick waist  ) BUT I am pretty sure that when I'm older and keeping the ideal body I want becomes an uphill struggle, I will quite possibly use AS and get all sorts of plastic surgery!

This is going to sound pretty sad but I wish all the time that my idea of whats beautiful will change soon because I really hate being obsessed with what my body fat % is or how big my bi's are.

If other people want to take AS I have no problem with that. Especially if they are at a disadvantage to gaining muscle naturally and it's affecting their self esteem.

IF IT MAKES YOU HAPPY IT CAN'T BE THAT BAD!

I'm also an AS virgin and may try it later on down the line after ALOT more training and research...

but I also believe in the mantra "it's your body and your choice what you do with it, or put in it, for that matter"

This is a simple adaptation to an evolutionary process. We ought to get more out of our testicles since we have been using them to think for thousands of generations.
