SSRI's with the most sexual "sides"

Just wanted to get opinions from people currently taking or have taken SSRI's. First of all I do understand everyone reacts differently to different drugs and one persons experience may not mirror anothers. I still want to know if there may be a consensus or statistic on which SSRI's seem to come with the most sexual side effects such as anorgasmia, impotence, etc.

Take trazodone, it is an anti-depressant that makes you horny and gives you a hard on... the down side being that it makes you fall asleep nearly right after taking it.

Hard to be depressed when you are asleep.

I've only ever used Zoloft and trazodone. The zoloft made it hard for me to come, and the trazodone made it hard to stay away.
Chicks love a guy with a hard on that sleeps for hours and never comes.

It had no effect on the orgasm - the Zoloft did that (the Zoloft fucked up my sleeping, so they gave me trazodone, which fucked me up in more ways - it is a very weak ssri). I was taking them both at the same time.

Zoloft also made me feel out of it - just spacy feeling.

the sexual sides of the SSRI's tend to be related somewhat to inhibition of serotonin at the type 2 receptor. as far as what is wors it is really individual and most all of the SSRI's will cause SD to some extent. your best bet is to go with remeron which is an antagonist at the 5ht-2 receptor and shows a very low incidence of SD. or a non SSRI like wellbutrin.

My doc gave me Zoloft a few years ago because I had a bout of 'chronic fatigue'. It fucked me up. I could raise the staff but after an hour my girl had to rest and flog the hell out of it to finish the job.

Plus, it didn't really make me fell much better and after I quit taking it, I had a massive panic attack.

My mind is still not totally right and I took it over three years ago.

Just my experience though.

Hmmm, Well do you have depression or anxiety? Years ago I took Tofranil (a tricyclic antidepresssant) and lost a lot of weight with no sexual side effects and no problems sleeping. I have taken Zoloft, made me hyper, I could not sleep and had a very weak orgasm. Later I tried Lexapro (another SSRI) not so much trouble sleeping, some difficlulty with orgasm but nothing too bad I gained 10lbs though, and therefore am weaning myself off of it....I also am getting very strange bruises which is a side efect.

ask your dr. for a biomeds test to find what may be right for you. you dont have to live with impotence as a side.
