Sometimes I think my step daughter is an alien.....

Kids are soooo weird sometimes....they just make no sense to me at all.... she's 18....

If anyone remembers, we took her to get her belly button pierced a few months back -- $65.....she took it out after 2 months....then she got her lower lip pierced & Thanksgiving week the skin had grown over it, so it had to be cut out....... Well, the other day she got her upper lip pierced!!

For Pete's sake why?? She's allergic to most jewelry so after a couple weeks she has to remove most all the jewelry she wears cuz it gives her an infection...... So why the hell bother?? Especially when she's late on her car insurance payments...... :rolleyes:

This is why mothers eat their young...

LOL, you know hammy aint goin there.

It seems like, you being a female you would have some insight here, but my rule of thumb is you just cant understand why a woman does what she does. And when the age is 18 it's just that much worse.

Well, when I was her age I worked 1-3 jobs at a time full time & went to school, paid my mom rent + insurance & had quite a nice savings account...

I can understand her wanting her own identity, etc....... but the illogic of getting continual piercings when she should know that she will have an allergic reaction/infection within a month reeks of stupidity & immaturity.... Plus, when the infection sets in, we end up having to deal with it....

IMO, this time she can drive herself to the dr. & pay the copay herself....

I know for a fact that she is an alien and can only recieve the vital nutrients she needs to stay alive through body piercings.

Well, at Thanksgiving, her dad -- my hubby took her to the 2 dr's to get it taken care of...... hopefully this time he won't...... :rolleyes:
 
I'm eighteen. I do lots of shit that I know pisses my parents off. I can't help it. We get along well, I don't fuck up. I just do small shit like what she's doing to piss them off. She'll get over it soon, just trying to piss you off. College has helped me a lot.

I personally don't care if she gets her eyeball pierced........what I can't understand is that since she has an ALLERGY to 99.9% of jewelry, then why get it done??? Especially since she is wasting the money on it when SHE IS LATE ON HER CAR INSURANCE PAYMENTS....
 
Damn. What kind of jewellery are they piercing her with? I'm assuming surgical stainless steel? LOL, I dunno what she's thinking, if I were her, and all my piercings got infected, I'd be scared to get another piercing done. Especially since the last lip one had to be cut out...that does not sound pleasant... :worried:

I don't know what type of jewelry it is, but she gets it from her mom. Her mom is allergic to ALL makeup, scented lotions, etc & can't wear hardly any jewelry at all.....
 
Why are YOU and HER FATHER paying for any of this nonsense? Does she live with you guys or her mom?

My kids know NOW that at 18 the eject button gets pushed. When they are living on their own and have to pay their own bills methinks that will cut way down on the "doing shit just to piss my parents off" factor.

No, she's paying for the piercings with her own money. The only problem with that is is that she owes her mom $100+ & is past due on paying the car insurance.....she lives with her mom, so stuff happens & we find out later....

She was thinking of moving out, but a parent has to sign the p-work for her, which I made sure my hubby was aware was not gonna happen on our side + she'd have to come up with $1,000 sec dep, etc....

Back in Nov. hubby had to take her for the cut the thing out of the lip dr. visit & pay the copays -- that bugged me.

Feel ya... you are only 1/2. If both mom and dad do not present united front, kid gets to be able to do fucked up shit.

Sheesh... do I know that song!

Just give me a few years and I'll be going through similar shit w/my oldest (unless she pulls her head out of her ass). I love her to death and she is a deep down good kid, but her father lets her do whateverthefuck she wants and then some.

Same reason why people have sex on the beach. They like the idea of it, but then soon realize that reality is something different.
