Someone explain this to me.....

The body is an intricate machine. If you do not keep it stoked, the metabolism will slow in a starvation perception response, thus slowing thyroid output, etc. This will grind your fat loss to a screeching halt. The body is programmed from early times to survive(mainatain fat stores in response to long fasts sand stress such as running through endless deserts, running from predators, etc.)...unfortunately it does not care about looking good at the beach. ;)

Added to this, everyone's metabolism is different. There's the common sense approach to diet, then there's the what works best for you diet. Whether your cutting or bulking, Feeding The Machine means finding the right combination that's going to cover all your bases, then changes in your diet become more predictable.

metabolism slows, cause you're starving your body...

seems like you've figured out 1500 cals works better than the 1200, so you're good to go...

I find it so strange....but yes the more clean clas I eat the more bf I am losing which is great..society has just ingrained this low cal thing in womens heads for so long!

Enjoy the extra food. It looks win-win to me.

If your body experiences signs of famine, it will start trying to conserve whatever energy reserves it can.

hey can't complain but all summer of hard work and really nothing....one month of a little less training and more cals and results....

I can eat 1200 cals a day and bust me ass training and not lose a thing.....increase my cals to 1500 and do less training and lose 10 pounds? :worried:

Water loss? Less fast carbs?

There is another factor in the mix.
For me .... it is always fast (sugar and flour products) that make the dif.
When I cut them out and eat only flesh/eggs/veggies/decaf& water, the stored water pours out and the fat burns off ... starts within 48 hours.
