So expensive

It is so expensive to eat the way we all need to. The cost of meat, chicken, and fish is just killing me. That doesn't even include everything else. Does anybody know of some tricks to cut costs while still getting all the good protein, carbs, and fats needed? ANY ideas are appreciated.

i know what u mean bulk but it's the price u gotta pay to stay ahead in this game and not be normal flat or fat... i like to buy in bulk and i buy stuff that's on offer and sale alot, that helps me
I also live with the rents at the moment so i try to scrounge the good stuff off them ;)

I bought myself a large stand alone freezer & have a small room in my house as a pantry with shelves. It may look like I'm preparing for a food shortage, but I buy foods when they are on sale & stock up. The freezer can hold a lot of stuff & if stored properly & rotated won't go bad on you before you eat it.

The freezer may cost a bit up front but it's a one time cost & will pay off in the end. If you have a small apt. that of course may not work.
