That's all I really wanted to know lol, but if you don't mind me asking ... does sled dragging have any advantage over squats or the leg press? Or is it just something else to add to your exercise schedule?

Thanks. :)

Sk*, I'm not worked up. There are powerlifters, bodybuilders, fitness, figure, oly's, etc, on this board. Maybe if you learned about sled dragging, as well as other "body builders" you could benefit from it to.

To answer your question objectively, sled dragging can be use ful for improving GPP, injury rehabilitation, strength training, prehabilitation, increased work capacity, hypertrophy, starting strength, acceleration strength, strength endurance, active recovery, etc...

Here's what we do:

This is what we do on our three off days from training. Now that we have a wheel barrow, things are gonna get extra fun. :D

No really just calm down Spatts---lol that was me being sarcastic hahah sometimes it's best to let the meow mix take over uh ? lol

Do you mostly drag on asphalt? Do you have to wear earplugs when you do that, seems like it'd be outrageously loud.

It's not too loud. Just loud enough to keep the neighbors from coming out to watch. I like to find as rough a surface as possible. I also like to just drive to an out of the way hill, and ankle drag backwards up the hill.

Well...I am gonna start dragging the sled this Summer (yes, you heard me). I don't like it and have had negative affects from the past...but will try it again this Summer.

It does get your muscles in shape for sure...and helps with soreness and bringing up a few small parts that are hard to work in the gym.

I would always do one trip down that was very slow and deliberate. Take each step one movement at a time. Step, stop, move the other foot, stop, repeat. I would then go back in a constant super long stride/continous motion. I will also make some steps longer than others and some narrower/wider than others. Sled dragging sucks...so why not use as much variation as possible to make it more fun?
