skippy natural pb

just wondering.. if i bought a supposed "all natural pb" and when i opened it up it was about 2 inches of oil at the top, it's pretty much useless? i should only be eating pb that doesn't separate at all?

...if so back to the grocery store....

From Pintoca's post, you might conclude that a PB which does separate out a lot will likely have less palm oil and less hydrogenated oil. As such, that layer of oil on the top could be a good sign. You can always either stir it back in or pour it off for cooking or disposal.

the seperation means that it is natty pb. Don't pour out the oil either or the pb will be thick as shit. Stir it in.

lol i'm gettin confused now... the separation is a good thing?

...i just threw out a brand new jar hahahaha

LOL you gotta stop not thinking twice about blindly taking advice from members of an online forum. Or at least read the thread again before you start throwing out perfectly good food.

smart balance makes anpb with no hydrogenated oils or trans fats. it's pretty good too. it says it doesnt seperate but i've noticed a little bit. has anybody else tried it yet??
