Skinny generics!?!?

Skinny genetics!?!?

My dad and my older brother are all skinny, and I was born that way too

right now I am 6'0 at 145lbs, see picture below

I think it has to do with skinny generics, my father wasn't born to be a hulk back then, I've seen photos of him. He had defined body after he got into millitary, I wasn't sure how tall he was but I am sure he looks skinny with defined body - you know.. like has perfect abs, chest, etc. He told me that his dad was born with skinny generics too, so its likely I am born with it, so was my brother.

Now I know "eat more gain big" there are few problems
-> I don't have money to get the ammount of food that will need to last for more than a year
-> The food gets nasty a while (after eating for more than a week straight)
-> I just graduated from high school and now applying for full time job in hope I could start buying food
-> buying food is another problem, there's like a supermarket 10 minutes drive from my house but 30 minutes walk. I won't get my driver license until Feb. 2005.

What do I do? my goal is to be at least 190~240 for my height 6'0..

working out is no problem, there is a small community gym 30 seconds from my house, also with a hot tub and swimming pool :)

Thanks for any help

moving to diet :)

but from sopmeone who found it hard to make time to eat let alone train due to the sheer amount of studying (and have actually had to take 2 months of at a time!)

-buy cheaper foods. u need a good source of protein, carbs and fat. the carbs are easy and make up the bulk of ou calories. go for pasta's and rice...breads cheap here but its up to you, but since u are trying to bulk i doubt its that bad for you

-look for tuna or deals on chicken, fish, turkey etc. when you see them, buy them up and freeze it and eat it at your leisure. 30 minutes walk isnt an excuse, as hard as that sounds I have to do it to get any extra food i need. u will get the dricers license soon :) either way my weekly shop ends up being cheaper than my friends who dont train because i cut out the other luxuries

good wholesome food tends to be quite cheap if you shop around (Cotsco or different supermarket deals), im sure walmart is dirt cheap out there. as for vegtables and fruit the same applies :)

I think you meant "genetics" there lil' man, but's all good....made me laugh. Anyways, at your age, you are a step above your peers. Number 1 you care how you treat your body and number 2, you show some deisre to make a change. Here's what I tell most 16 year olds. YOur body is a furnace right now. Your metablism is through the roof. Quit worry so much about what and when to eat, that comes later. For now, you need to focus on protein and calories. TRY and get some sort of protein in every 2-3 hours. Shoot for 30 grams (a chicken breast) a can of tuna, a glass of milk, etc. Everything else is fair game. So try to plan out your day where you eat about 6 times. Get the protein in and then eat until you are comfortably full. Snacking is fine, just make it good snacks.....peanuts, jerky, etc............you'll be fine.

Hey buddy, you sound like me about 5 months ago. I am 5' 6.5" and i weighed 118lbs then. Now i am the same height and I am about 143lbs. I lift heavy as hell, and eat constantly. I eat lots of All Natural Peanut Butter, Wheat bread, turkey, tuna, milk, cottage cheese, and whey protein. Also I am 17 years old. Give it time, you'll gain. Just Remember, eat....lift.....rest.....eat.....lift.....rest.
