Have a quick question. Is it better to build muscle to do say for example 4 sets, but when doing the sets,

first = do a warm up set
secondly = up the weight (to failer)
third = same as step to (failer)
fourth = up the weight

OR

first = warm up
second = upp weight to max (to failer)
third = same as step two (to failer)
fourth = lower weight

Which is the best to use inorder to build muscle the quickest?
 
never wanna decrease weight on a following set, always wanna stay the same or increase. on bench press i do this:

warmup with 135 8 reps
1st real set 155 8 reps
2nd set 165 8 reps
3rd set 185 til failure

im a weak ass i know, but thats what i do and ive been told by plenty of people that its the way to go
