Yeah, well I was following the recipe....and it said to use dates....LOL Anway, what diff does a date make with all the mango, apple, sugar, etc......
So far I have 14 half-pints of chutney, 7 half pints of cranberry fig chutney, and 3 jelly jars of fig jam.....along with the 52 jars of salsa!! This'll be a TASTY winter!!
ugh!! I'm sick of canning -- I can't imagine having to do this for weeks when they did it to live back in the 1800s.....I have one more batch of chutney to can.....
