Sad story - Met girl from Internet

I've only tried the internet relationship type thing once, and it wasn't even very involved. I finally did meet up with the girl after quite some time, and it was pretty awkward. Still is in fact when I see her every now and again. I would recommend if you ever do try the internet thing, waste no time in meeting up, otherwise it's bound to not work.

What a piece of trash man. Sorry that had to happen rev. Don't sweat it. If a girl is just going to halt all communication like that, she didn't deserve to even talk to you in the first place.

like that.

Or meet the net ones right away & don't drag it out for 6 months!

What happened here is you got used bro, you were her crutch. She was lonely and you were an easy support system that was safe being hidden behind a comp. and telephone.

Don't feel sorry for yourself, you got six months of pleasure out of this relationship. Everone uses human relationships for their own needs.

Once you met her face to face the spell was broken, 12 oclock cinderella.

BINGO!

(this coming from a veteran of several failed internet romances)

You've just encountered the number one problem with meeting people through the internet. You ahve no idea if there is mutual chemistry. I've dated numerous women I've met online and that has always been the problem. Someone may be physically attractive in a picture but you'll nebver know if chemsitry exists until you meet them. That's why I would never do teh internet dating again. If I meet someone in person there is no emotional investment if chemistry doesn't exist but the down side is you don't know if you are compatible on other levels. Given the choice I would rather not have the emotional investment before knowing if there is chemistry.

Lets hear some dirt!

1st chick..had a drawing of a mexican dude as her avatar thing..thought it was witty, met my criteria, so I set up a date. Turned out she was a bit fugly but she liked me a lot and I guess I was desperate so I agreed to a second date. Prior to the 2nd date I decided she is definitely not for me so I let her know I am not into having a relationship but we could meet as friends. She said she felt the same way...we had dinner, went back to her place and did the nasty. Definitely not a decision I am proud of. Never saw/heard from her again.

Since then I have dated like 3 girls just once before they decided they didn't like me, and dated one girl twice before she decided not to date me again.

I have to admit I really felt nothing for any of them except one, but I hate being the bad guy and I always think there might be more to the girl if I get to know her better, but I guess they pick up on my disappointment or something. So none of the blow-offs was heartbreaking.

DC is a tough place, the girls all were very idealistic chicks who worked for think tanks/lobbying organizations/non-profits. When they find out I am a normal, laid back guy who just wants to collect my paycheck and improve my life, they can't take it. They need someone that is as passionate about "changing the world" as they are.

Freakin' chicks.

Yeah the change the world mentality is hard to deal with. If I so mch as see a "Free Tibet" bumper sticker on a girls car Im out of there so fast. Actually, I dont think I could ever date a girl with any kind of bumper sticker on her car now that I think about it.
