It has been brought to my attention that on an earlier post, some comments I made were construed as offensive.

As I care about the opinions of certain folks, I would like to offer some corrections.
"I think that most westside guys would have to take their stance in and drop their squats weights by 100lbs to get passed here. "
I should say that I have gained 100 lbs by moving my squat stance ultra-wide and keeping my squat depth higher.
"Recent evidence is Chuck's bomb at the WPO meet. "
As I was not there, I probably should not have made this statement. This information was conveyed to me by a friend/national-level lifter who was there. He said the judges indicated depth as the reason for the failed lifts.
"On the far right (easy side) of the spectrum is the IPA (also known as the high-PA). "
I can definitely see how this was deemed offensive. The IPA has developed a reputation for allowing parallel squats (or slightly higher) to pass consistently. However, it also has a reputation of being very lifter-centic. You must weigh the pros and cons of any organization. I would like to say I welcome an organization whose judging is consistent and not out to screw the lifters. In fact, I do intend to compete in their nationals this year.
Anyway.... why bother with this post? Well, it was not my intention to insult accomplished lifters. Indeed, some of the folks who may have taken offense to this have been those who have helped me to reshape my training. For these people, I am offering my edits here.
