need to hit up eithers carrs or costco when i get back to college.

What are some easy to make (microwaveable) ready to eat foods..

All heathy and good for bulking.

Ideas?

the frozen tyson chicken "breasts" are very good. I think they are pressed meat, but they call them breasts. they have a ton of flavors: teriyaki, lemon pepper, bbq, etc.

oatmeal with pb and choc protein powder with splenda is another easy one.

eggs can be microwaved. go find those little fold over plastic things, it poaches them in about a minute and ten seconds for 2 eggs. throw some salt and hot sauce, and you are ready to go. also you can get those microwave bacon plates too...they rock! make the flattest crispy bacon ever. around 2-3 minutes for 3 pieces.

while we are on it. they have those microwave tupperware things that you can throw fish and veggies into and steam it as well.

you can get all these gadgets at Tar-get. they are cheap and make life so easy if you are in a hurry.

hope that helps.

Nice what kind of oatmeal?
haha dinosaur eggs are mad cheap at target and are good.
nate also how would i go about cooking the chicken breast.

Stove?

They used to have some frozen tilapia(fish, that doesn't taste very fishy) at costco that was pretty good. It's not microwaveble, but preparation isn't too bad, but I guess if you don't have a kitchen then it doesn't matter how easy it is to bake

Yeah well its a big effort for me to cook. I mean i have 19 meal swipes a week where i an get 6'12 subs consisting of meats, tunas, bacon etc.

Im sure if i ask for additional meat they wont care there college students.
More ideas plz?

Your statements are an oxymoron. Most frozen foods are packed with preservatives, chemicals and sodium - just to name a few; plus, they are usually void of most nutritional value.

There are very few if any health foods you can microwave or have ready to eay. The list is short:
salads, oatmeal, eggs, cream of wheat, oils (like flax or UDO's), tuna with seasalt (organic), nuts and legumes (walnuts, almonds etc.), whole grain (org) breads.

There are a few more, but the list is short.

what about buying stuff fresh and vacuum sealing or freezing it yourself? You can get a hell of a deal on ground beef at costco, then split it up into servings and freeze it, then when you want some, just de-thaw it and toss it on the george forman.

I think what you mean is pre-cooking. It would be wise to pre-cook and vacuum seal the meals, but not many will attempt it or spend the time on it.
