OK.. maybe I'm just odd.. but I've noticed since I've switched to big compound movements my hair and nails are growing at an insane rate.

I usually cut my nails twice a month, and get a haircut every 2 months. I'm now cutting my nails every few days and getting a haircut every three weeks (not to mention the #$^%#$ back hair that's coming in like crazy now:mad: )

anyone else notice this?!

shoulder hair is covering more area, and i have to shave at least once a day ever since i went back to weightlifting (olympic).

maybe im a later bloomer? (at 23 haha)

haircut every 2 months?? thats crazy, i need one every 2 weeks! Have you increased your protein? I alwasy thought that was the reason my hair and nails grew so fast...but yes, i feel your pain

uhh maybe its just summer time??? I know my hair grows faster in the summer then in the winter. If you recently just switched then its a possibility of sumemr, if not i dont know...

I get this, too.

I never thought it could be related to my method of training. I could see my nails being stimulated by the stresses of increased grip work with my heavier lifts, but I still don't get the hair. Then again, my hair already grows well over a foot a year.

Probably due to increased hormone and protein synthesis levels. Also I always eat way more when I am lifting heavy and that means lots of extra stuff for your body to find a use for.

Cheers,
