RACIAL Confrontation in Circuit City

It must be terrific to be able to ride your bike into any neighborhood without someone calling you a nigger and trying to run you over with their car (this happened when I was 17).

Must be terrific to be able to drive your car through a black neighborhood without getting a rock thrown at it. (This happened to me a few weeks ago when I drove through the black neighborhood lying between my area and the Grove. Last time I go to the Grove btw.

How wonderful it must be able to buy a house in any suburb in the country without the sheriff knocking on your door to warn you about a bomb threat to your new home if you don't move out (happened to my mother three years ago).

Oh give me a break. There are like 3 black families in my neighborhood and they've never had nor given any trouble.

To be able to hail down cabs without any problems, walk through a department store without security guards following you, to drive through Beverly Hills in your new Mercedes and the police never pull you over, make you get out and sit on the sidewalk while they go through your car with a fine-tooth comb (which happened to me last week).

Cabs: What cab would drive past a well-dressed man or woman who looked important, had an important place to go to, and would probably tip nicely for getting there quickly?

Department Stores: If you're not going to steal anything, why should this bother you? I had some geek following me around today cause I walked into the store wearing a pair of shorts and a sweaty t-shirt after getting out of the gym. Oh no he must be racist against white people who work out!

Being pulled over: You can't be pulled over just for the hell of it. Were you speeding? Did you ignore a stop sign? Did you run a red light? Your car also can't be searched without probable cause. Don't you read the Constitution? I'm certain that a) You did something that gave the police the right to pull you over and b) You gave them permission to search your car.

Any cop/former cop on this board can confirm that they can't just pull you over and dig through your car without probable cause or permission.

These little incidentals mean nothing to you... and, why should they, you piece of shit racist fuck?

No, everything should be based on credentials. Your acceptance into a good college should be based on a well rounded educational experiance such as college prep classes, sports and activities, clubs. Good grades and SAT scores should be important too. Those should be the only things that should determine if you are qualified for a certain college...Not race.

For a job, good marks in college and past experiance such as internships and co-ops along with a degree in the field you wish to pursue should determine your employment at a job.

All that information is stuff that has nothing to do with race but based only on your performance. Of course there will always be a person to sit back and complain that they werent hired because of their race or whatnot. To keep this from happening, all job applications along with the resumes should be kept on file until the statute of limitations runs out for such a case. With all that documented information, the lawyers for the company can proove that only the brightest most qualified people that applied were hired. No questions asked, no more racial discrimination complaints.

I think you guys are giving Ryan too much of a hard time. I'm a half breed native american who lives in the SW and has to put up with racial shit all the time. I'm not bitching about it just telling you how it is. The way I see it Ryan is just looking for a solution to the problem- and yes, maybe there is no solution but we'll never know until we keep looking. I believe everyone is biased and partially prejudice against one race or another, that's just the plain truth of the matter, admit it or not. That's not what I'm saying at all. I'm simply saying that people should not be so quick to conclude that blacks are somehow "lesser" than us whites. There are many blacks who have accomplished far more than any of us have hoped to accomplish....
