First off, I read in the paper how some guy was pulled over and was found with a bunch of drugs on him. Now he was aquitted of all charges when he claimed he was the victim of racial profiling. Not very fair if you ask me. If you get pulled over and are found with someting illegal, no matter what they say, your guily and your ass should be locked up.
Another thing i think we should get rid of is Affirmative Action. That law doesnt nothing but totally disgrace the idea that it takes hard work to be successful. When you want a job, you busted your ass to get the high marks to get that job and someone else is given that job because of the color of their skin.
I deal with people constantly everyday. I can tell you from experiance that there is a notciable difference in the personalities of blacks & whites. These are just a few things i've noticed.

I was in Circuit City today, with my best friend, who happens to be black. One of the sales guys kept watching my friend, while he wasn't watching me nor any of the other white customers.

So I went up to the salesguy and asked him, "Why the hell do you keep watching my black friend over there? Is it because he's black?" The guy responds, "I don't know what you are talking about." I said, "Why aren't you watching the Country Club bitch over there, for all you know, she could have a couple of CD's in her handbag...." He still denied, denied, denied.....

Blacks live in a world most of us don't have to live in....A World of oppression and racial strife.....

I'm now thinking about changing my choice in law to Civil Rights Law....there's way too much injustice in this IGNORANT world....

WHAT THE FUCK!! bwhahahahahahahaaaahaha.
let me get this straight: a sales person was looking at your friend and you go up and get in his face and right off the bat ask if he is profiling your friend becuase he is black?!?

you are a retard.

RyanH, the large number of replies to your thread should tell you what an explosive and divisive issue this is. Start a discussion on race relations/issues in America and you'll still be going on with it 200 years from now.

Racial discrimination is still one of the biggest social problems facing society, not just in America. Unfortunately at this point in time I cannot see an end in sight for this problem. For what it is worth at least you are able to see the problem unlike many other board members here who refuse to see or acknowledge it.

hardgainer (peace y'all)

I don't know where you've lived during your life. But I used to live in a predominately black city and attended high school there. It wasn't a picnic. Getting harassed almost every day, getting threatened for wearing a red shirt, and seeing them basically act like animals has tainted my view somewhat. Up till my senior year I attended a all white high school and seen none of that. And if you take this as a racist statement you're just afraid of the truth. I think you're just blind to basic facts in life...

I agree with big physics. My father is black and I don't ever hear him complaining of the "white man holding him down". The younger generation of african americans are so used to hearing that, they start to believe it. You know just because a situation like what happened to your friend occurred doesn't mean all white people are like that.

:D
Damn .
Someone who understands.

Its not up to a whole race to change at once, But rather to notice that anything can change as long as one has set their mind to do so.

Its up to each person.

RyanH, What did your freind say?
Did he confront the retailer?

Just wondering why it bothered you and not your freind.

oh my god, every race and creed has been oppressed at one point in time or another

damn you are complained about a little racism

the god damn US murdered thousands of indian
and they were here first

Jews by the millions in WWII

so i dont want to here any sob stories

Let me start with legislation.
When America was founded, it was a huge, loose belt around the waist of the free man. Then we started to legislate. Every single piece of legislation passed puts a notch in that belt and tightens it. OSHA, Civil Rights Laws, diving age and drinking age limits, drug laws, gun laws, property laws and every supreme court decision puts a notch into that belt and tightens it. Where some people see legislation as "freedom", all it is doing is making it easier for some while hampering the pace of others. It is this sense of security gained by a "common sense" law, like racial profiling or hate crimes laws which is truly limiting and destroying the freedom of this once great land. All notches in the belt. Its feeling pretty tight to me, and I'm only 19.

I have a friend, his name is Phil. He is adopted. He is black. He was raised by French people of Chinese descent, and therefore(not a racist remark) he speaks proper english, dresses is "normal" clothing, and most of all, was never told that he is a victim, he was never told that the white man hates him, and most of all, was never ever told that because he is black and that he has been opressed for so long, that he deserves a free ride! He is a very good friend of mine.

The wonderful mayor of my city has referred to a member of his staff as a "funny little white boy."
Is this not a racist remark? As a white person, I do not write this off as a description. What happened to Willie Brown though? Did he get smeared in the media? Did Jesse Jackson fly out in his private jet to protest Willie Brown for being racist? Of course not. Because being a black racist is alright. This wretched display of bigotry and cover up is a total slap in the face to peace loving Americans like myself who are constantly painted as racist.

I live in San Francisco. I live across the street from a police station, on the corner of Turk and Fillmore. SInce I've moved here, about one year, there have been three shootings and countless assaults, in fact, a few people attacked my roommate, but he was able to defend himself and sent them wimpering into the night.

All of the shootings were committed by black men. My roommate was jumped by two black youths. I see drug deals go down outside the local McDonalds by black people. I see white people get stared at and yelled at, sworn at and cursed by these black people. I am stared at by these black people, and the stares I get throw electric shivers down my spine, stares that would halt a charging bull.
Why am I getting hard looks? Are you going to tell me that they are staring at me for a reason other than the fact that I am white?

There are teachers at San Francisco State that teach the students that when black people are outright racists, it is ok because they are black. If white people are racist, they are scum.

Do I need to mention that at the store at which I work, we often get ripped off (I work at Wolf Camera). People steal mostly film and disposable cameras, sometimes small frames. By and large, surprise surprise, the people who commit these thefts are black! We had one guy rip five cans of film and a fucking underwater camera, putting them into his Old Navy bag and then walk out. Can we call the cops? Of course not. What description could we give him? "Yes officer, he was black, 5'10'', baggy pants, big jacket, hat on backwards, big nike shoes."
WTF are they supposed to do? They cant do shit because if they pursue a person who fits his description, its racial profile because they were looking for black men fitting that description. Black men fitting that description in San Francsico=about 75,000.

I stopped at a stop sign and an older black man was crossing, so like a cordial young man, I waited patiently as he slowly made his trek across the crosswalk. He stops, looks at me with that cold, dead stare, and shakes his head. Then he continues walking.

I get stares from crowds of "La Raza" freaks at school all the time. Its probably because I am a white racist.

I am an independant conservative who is a registered Republican. I have a "Hot Talk 560, KSFO" sticker (its the local conservative station) on my notebooks. I spent the entire school year sitting ALONE. Prejudice? I think so. People see that I'm a white conservative, so they think I'm a racist. A bigot. Which I'm not.

I grew up in Folsom, CA. An extremely white town. The two major occupations are Intel technician and prison guard. The people in Folsom are white, but I dont know a single damn racist in the whole bunch. Why? Lets see, because Folsom is a very conservative city, they are taught that everybody is equal and that hard work pays off. They are not taught that everybody is racist and that you should be watching people around you.

But I digress..back to San Fran.
I wont walk to the fucking grocery store after 10 at night because those two blocks are filled with cold hate. Hate that a person of my pleasant and peaceful convictions will not tolerate. I dont want to spend two blocks looking behind my back. I dont want those reviling eyes searching me.

I was at the candy stand in the store the other day (yeah so I cheated!) and I saw five black youths enter the store dressed like thugs. They stepped in front of me, secured their new belongings(which included a box of cereal, a bag of chips, a quart of milk, and a few forties)under their belts, closed their jackets and stood there.
Stood there to look at me. All five of them dressed the same. Staring at me, those filthy demeaning incriminating glances. Along with that glance comes the pretext "if you say shit, you aint leaving this store alive."

Do you think that they would gave given those looks to a black man? Of course you do, because that would further your cause.

Ryan, this is happening every day so you cant give me any of your white racist bullshit because I WONT STAND FOR IT ANYMORE. I AM TIRED OF THIS BULLSHIT! Just because whites were not enslaves by blacks, we're supposed to open up our federal treasury up to them? Why cant they just be Americans like all of the brave immigrants (LEGAL immigrants) from the early 1900s who, despite rampant racism and strife as you put it, were able to assimilate and become true Americans?

Are you aware that in Africa RIGHT NOW there are black slaves? How about the fact that tribal leaders were engaged in slave trading far, FAR before the anglos got involved? Or that the African tribals sold the slaves to the whites freely for MONEY AND TRADE? Of course you'll deny this, because it does not help to further your cause.

And the fact that most of the scum of the earth is white scum, I have one shining reason for that.

THERE ARE MORE WHITE PEOPLE THAN THERE ARE BLACK PEOPLE.
That is why there are not as many black sitcoms on tv. That is why there are not as many black CEOs. You cant blame wall street for being racist because CEOs arent black because blacks only account for what, 11 percent of the national population? Oh but that means nothing, because the white majority is obviously racist, and has a long history of aristocratic racism so they would naturally never be so crass as to let a black man be CEO of anything important!

You racist jackal. You paint white people with the same brush. You automatically think that if an affront is cast upon a black from a white, that it was a racist act. You are a sickening spectical of a man who dismisses arguments that prove you wrong while you dont even look at facts. You sicken me with your reighteous ignorance and I dont want to ever hear you call someone racist again because you are totally full of hate and spite. You do not think, because you're too busy "feeling." I cant argue with someone who doesnt think, but lets their emotions take over thair thought process. It is a completely lost cause.

You have cried racism in a crowded country. You have created this phrase that, if you paint someone with it, they are destroyed, regardless of their actual convictions.

Hey! I'm psychic! I predict that...in the near future...
You are going to call me a racist.

Fuck this. I'm done with you.
