Hello,
i was slacking off for about two months for some peronal reasons. I did recovery month ( 3 days/ week, chest/tri back/bi legs/shoulders). Although i still somewhat weaker than I used to be i feel more or less ok. So i decided to try german volume program discussed here: http://getbuffed.com/Articles/German_Volume_Training/german_volume_training.html

i did add tri kickbacks for day 1, and straight bar curls for day 2, shrugs for day 4 as well as moderate abs on daily basis (workout days)

Now i am in day six and my upper back, lats and bi still hurt like a bitch. So i am not sure if i should just say fuck it go to the gym tonight and hope that ill adjust, or should i increase rest to 3 days (day 3,5,6)? I am not sure if ill be able to recover that quickly as original program assumes , i am currently completely "clean".

Thanks

Don't train if you're not ready for it. Mental preparedness is one of the leading factors in determining if your workout is gonna suck ass or if it's gonna kick ass. Lay off til ya feel better :)

no offense to you, Sum, but thats bad advice for the question at hand, IMO. from what i gather, Kodesh seems nice and ready to get back into it. however, it seems he didnt realize the soreness he would soon see.

Kodesh, after that mich time off, it is perfectly natural to be so sore. My advice to you is to use moderate weight until you are completely ready to get back into your old routine. You also should not have that 'fuck it' attitude if you're sore. lift through it. it will go away. takes time.
