Protein Shakes...

There are days that I don't have the time to cook & I want to start using a 'meal replacement' such as a protein shake. But my concern is that I read somewhere that protein shake such as Nitro Tech: Enhances mass and strength - is this going to BULK me up?? I'm trying to lose weight...

Please help! Thx!

You will not bulk up - take in lots of protein (though most should NOT come from shakes) and lift heavy!

Bulking up is very hard, especially for ladies. If only it were that easy!

Don't fret about bulking up from protein powder! Don't worry about looking bulky from increasing your mass or stregth either-- women don't look like that without years of amazing amounts of hard work and dedication.

Protein powder and meal replacements are handy when you're on the go-- I always keep them at work. You can buy all different brands with differing protein to fat to carb ratios depending on your diet. Increasing your protein intake will help you maintain and grow new muscle which in turn will burn calories for you-- even at rest. So you want to make sure you're getting sufficient protein every day. No need to be nervous about it. :)

And welcome to Elite!

Thank you for all your advice; and for the "welcome"! You all definitely put my worries at ease! I've never tried the protein shakes & since my schedule is always hectic, it's sometimes hard to find the time to cook a healthy meal especially if you're not home! The "fast food" temptations are hard to fight off w/out having something as a back up plan. So I'm glad there is something out there (other than that Slim Fast garbage)!

How's the taste? I want to try the vanilla & chocolate...

Thanx again!! :)

You might want to look into Optimum Whey (Chocolate) as well. It's great for post-workouts, and my wife really loves the taste. As a bonus, it's so chocolaty, she never gets chocolate cravings anymore, really.

There are a ton of brands and it's really up to you! Depending on my diet goals at a given time I use muscle milk, and evopro, all the whey.

I use AnyWhey & Optimum Nutrtion's Double Rich Chocolate. The double rich chcolate is awesome & a great, easy way to jazz it up is to freeze leftover coffee into an ice cube tray & use a few cubes when you blend it up for a mocha latte type thing. You won't think it's healty!
