Protein Shakes tearing me up

A lot of my protein comes from milk and whey shakes and they are not easy on the stomach. Anyone have suggestions, other than getting protein from other sources, that will help with digestion? Any supplements or anything that can help?

Use an Isolate protein and don't use too much at a time. If you're making 40+ gram shakes you'll have a hard time stomaching them...

you could try eating yogurt with live cultures in it. Live cultures help the old crap factory do its work. i had the same problem and switched to muscle milk and i'm good now.

i had the same problem and mine was because i was using too much of it maybe it would help if u cut down the doses some at first hten work your way up to much more

also bro don't just slug the drink back like its a chore to drink it. Sit back and sip on it well doing something. Treat it like just another drink. Its easy to do if you know how to make a good tasting shake.

soy is not bad for you, it just shouldn't be your only protein source.

i agree man. Soy is protein, and protein is generally what BBers are looking for. Nice to have many options.

N2, why haven't you been posting your weekly recipes?

thought I saw some info once on stomach acids and protein breakdown...weren't hydrochloric tablets or something once upon a time recommended for aiding in protein breakdown...Not offering advice (honestly, I can't remember), but asking if anyone has information on this?

Pilot - are you lactose intolerant? You may be. I am slightly, and regular whey protein tears me apart inside. I stopped using cows milk and switched to soymilk. (To hell with the soy nay-sayers. I haven't sprouted a vagina. Yet.)

I switched over to Isopure by Nature's Best. It is lactose free. Flavor isn't too bad. I have a much easier time digesting.

Big blast from protein factory is good like that also.
