I read somewhere.......that 40 to 50 grams is about as much as the human digestive system can assimilate at one time. I'm sure its different from person to person.
If I'm taking in more than 40g from real food sources (meat) I take a digestive enzyme along with it. I do like to stay within 40-50g, although my bedtime shake is often close to 75g.

I take at least two meals per day with 100mg or more of protein per sitting. It's rather easy.....one 50mg shake with one package tuna (50mg). Fortunately my body has not had a digestive problem yet.
