I'm not sure if this counts as a breakdown, but here ya go:

QuadPlex Protein Blend (Ultrafiltered Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate [From Ion Exchange and Cross Flow Microfiltration] {all three sources contain concentrations of beta-Lactoglobulin, alpha-Lactalbumin, Immunoglobulins, Glycomacropeptides, Lactoferrin, Lactoperoxidase, Other Closely Related Protein Molecules and Glutamine Peptides} Low Molecular Weight and Partially Hydrolyzed Whey Peptides)

It's sad really, if any supplement company out there states that they used CFM isolate, then they have to display the " CFM" logo of avonmore & waterford....why? because CFM is patented by Avonmore & waterford..an incidently do you guy's come across
a new kind of supplement and across it states " patent pending" ?
and note how long do they actually patent the damn product? NEVER!!!!!!!!!!! why? because they can't....either this product have already been patented,or they merely bottle a product found in abundance in nature for example " gugulsterone" or what ever which have been around for thousands of years.
Think about this..who's the SUCKERS? stop being one!!!!!!!!

Optimum Nutrition claims that their protein is over 80%. They claim that it is impossible to get 80% out of whey concentrate, that's why they had to add some isolates in there to get it to 80% or above. If this is true, how can protein factory get 80% from WPC if Optimum claims that's impossible and have to add isolates to the mix?

Check with the manufacturers of whey. Land O Lakes, American Casein Co., etc. That should clear it up. I thought whey concentrate % were like 30 - 40% up to 80%. Are you getting optimums take on this from their ad?

I'll stick w/protein Factory. I'm not going to defend the position. I've heard the arguements over and over and people still don't understand the mathematics of it.

BTW, I order 10lbs of CFM w/banna and Splenda
5lbs of Egg White for bedtime w/same flavor

I don't want to pay for anything more than a bag. I don't want scientific shit written on it. I want exactly what I want and I get it.

that's a great question. I don't know anything about protein percentage but I read a thing at netrition that whey concentrates are supposed to be 75% to 80%.

I like the idea of making your own formulation. I've been using a mixture of 25% micellar casein, 50% casein and 25% soy isolate at bedtime which seems to be working pretty well for me as far as recovery.

Why is Micellar Cassein superior to Calcium Casseinate? I use the Ca Cassein before bed. I was wondering is it really worth it to shell out the extra few bucks per pound?

I'll dito that... when I'm done emptying the bags into the containers it's project clean up, I always seem to make a mess w/ it.

But here's another added argument against it. I'm sure you can buy for example Optimum Nutrition whey for same price as Proteinfactory. And Optimum's protein will come w/ 4 kinds of protein in there, plus a big 5 pound jug, and not a bag. So now on second thought, proteinfactory seems pricey.

1. you get your stuff in a bag
2. other products offer same or more for same price
3. you can only order 5 pound/$5

I'm planning on starting a protein supplement, and it just so happens I'm debating between Optimum Nutrition and Protein Factory. It's true that ON says they have 4 kinds of protein, but if you compare percentages, it is they are almost identical or PF has a bit more with PF being about $5 cheaper after shipping.

Has anyone tried the vanilla WPC at protein factory that can tell me now it tastes and mixes?

I have used the vanilla WPC sweetened w/ splenda and it tasted ok, and mixes well with a spoon or shaker.
Another good choice to me is EAS Simply Whey. It tastes good and is comparable in price to Optimum.
