pregame meal

i tend to drink an oats and protein shake combined when im out on the mound pitching seems to help alot, DONT TAKE NO2 OR ANYTHING DURING THE GAME I TRIED THA AND I FELT LIKE SHIT ON THE MOUND,ALL JITTERY AND WHAT NOT IT WAS TERRIBLE
 
I'm a goalie. I eat two hours before each game\practice\pick up and make sure it's something light and high in carbs. I usually just do rice. A lot of players like Asian noodles or pasta with a light sauce.

I don’t drink straight up Gatorade. It's good to do half and half with some water. I find that it's much easier to drink and keeps me better hydrated.
 
pasta is good though almost any LOW fat carb source with a lean protein should do the trick..i would keep the fat very low for this meal so that it digests quicker.. the trick is to keep the carbs (glycogen) in your muscles topped out

hey man....how do you make/what do you use in your shake? somebody on here got me hooked on those a while back. i have them every morning for breakfast but i use milk. if i am training (mma) in the morning i don't drink one because of the milk. kind of gives me that sloshing...wanna hurl feeling.
 
i get instant oats and mix a package up with a vanailla protein shake add a banana as well and its pretty damn good, use a blender if ya put fruit in it otherwise i do 2 scoops of protein and bout a cup of oatmeal and whatever fruit i feel like putting in
